The stand number is the unique identifier of a stand on the hall plan. Together with the hall number, it tells visitors and service providers where to find you.
Every stand receives a number from the organiser that describes its position in the hall. The format differs from fair to fair. Often the number consists of letters and digits that refer to a grid on the hall plan, frequently combined with the hall number. A reference such as Hall 3, stand C41 is a typical pattern.
The stand number appears in the exhibitor directory, in the show app and on the hall plan. It is assigned with the stand allocation and can still change until shortly before the show if space is divided up differently.
The stand number is the most important detail in your trade fair communication. It belongs in invitations, email signatures, appointment confirmations, social media posts and on your website, always together with the hall and dates. Anyone who wants to visit you looks for the number in the hall, not for your company name. Always use the same spelling, so that customers find the reference straight away on the hall plan and in the app.
It also matters for logistics. Deliveries, forwarders and service providers need the hall and stand number so that materials and people arrive at the right stand (booth). The same goes for your photo and video crew and for guests you expect for a meeting on the stand.
Check the number again in the exhibitor directory shortly before you send out invitations, so that no outdated information is circulating.
The first question we ask with every enquiry is: which fair, which hall, which stand number? With these details we plan route, timing and meeting point, and on the show day we are at your stand without having to search for it. Also give us a contact person on the stand with a phone number, so the start goes smoothly even when the show is in full swing.
Pictures from the last show work well for your pre-show announcement: a photo of the stand or a short vertical clip with hall and stand number as text. The guide Content plan for the show week shows how to plan such posts before, during and after the fair.
With the stand allocation by the organiser. Each fair sets its own timing. The number can still change until shortly before the show.
So that the crew finds the stand without detours, starts on time and the meeting point and schedule can be agreed precisely.
